Counselling & Hypnotherapy

Counselling and Hypnotherapy, or a combination of both can help you to make the changes you feel you need in order to help move forward to live a more fulfilling life.

There are times in our lives when we can feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or a multitude or other feelings that make us feel inadequate and unable to live the life we want. You may be in a place where you feel you have no one to turn to without feeling judged or misunderstood, and this can lead to feeling isolated and alone. By being able to recognise these feelings that you are struggling with I sincerely believe that finding the courage to seek help is your first step towards finding some resolution. By working together in an atmosphere of safety and trust, Counselling and Hypnotherapy offers the chance to explore, understand, and change your life.

Many clients start therapy feeling lonely and lost.

I am here to support you through such times

Life can be challenging and confusing, especially in times of change or loss. Having a space to talk openly and honestly with someone who is independent, empathic and non-judgemental, can help you to make sense of it all. I offer a place where you can explore your life, your feelings, who you are, your environment and others around you. I will help support you through the difficult times and give you the opportunity to express yourself.  I believe that you are unique and counselling can give you an opportunity to develop self-awareness, a place where the possibility of change and healing can occur.

Self-discovery can help you to make choices in your life with more clarity and bring to light long-held beliefs that have previously limited your potential.

I believe that everyone has the capacity to change and reach their full potential

What are the different types of counselling therapy?

There are many different ways of practicing counselling, I use an Integrative approach which draws on different modalities, Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic. Each session is specifically tailored to the individual, there isn’t a “one method suits all approach”. Therapy will draw on past and present actions which challenges you in a positive constructive way, allowing you to use your sessions effectively and positively.

Different approaches to counselling have different ideas about human development, where psychological problems come from and the best way to use ‘talking therapy”, to help. Some counsellors, will encourage you to take the lead in what is discussed and support you in realising what your capabilities are and can become.

Each person is an individual and is therefore treated as so and therapy sessions are tailored accordingly.
